Our Story
Evanescent Mustang Rescue & Sanctuary began in 2015 and became a 501c3 non-profit in 2017. What began as a small pilot program with three rescued mustangs has grown into a therapeutic sanctuary serving our Veteran and First Responder heroes and their families. Our name reflects the fleeting nature of trauma and pain when met with proper support and the enduring spirit of the wild mustangs who help facilitate healing for our heroes.
Today, we operate a 15-acre sanctuary with rescued mustangs & burros alongside a team of licensed trauma-focused therapists. Every program is designed with the unique needs of veterans and first responders in mind, honoring their service while supporting their journey to wellness.
