This is Luna Rossa, a 2017 mare adopted from the 7 trainers, 7 Mustangs clinic held in 2021. Another success story that Evanescent is SO happy to hear! The below from Luna's adopter, Amy.
***********
I went to a mustang clinic with no intention of adopting a horse. I merely wanted to observe and honestly didn’t even know the horses were available for adoption. After hearing what these horses have gone through I was compelled to adopt the horse my trainer was working that day, knowing he would be there to train her and help us in working with a wild mustang. We adopted her on 9-19-21 and it has been an incredible journey watching her transition from a fearful animal to a loving pet and companion.
Her name is Luna Rossa, she has her own Instagram account where her goofiness & progress is displayed and she has had over 150 rides under saddle and has many more adventures to come. We are very grateful for her!
Rescued in 2019 and adopted, Mamoa's adopter has changed his name to Frank Sinatra and is loving his new life in Colorado! He's a super happy, curious guy who willingly and easily does 10+ miles and goes on plenty of outings in National Forests, makes friends with everyone he meets and loves his QH brother, Sammy Davis, Jr.
August, 2021: Jack went through a few adopters and they just weren't the right fit. Turns out it was Jack that wanted to make the decision who his person would be and he chose this one. We are so glad that Jack has found his person and his person found him! Many happy outings you two.
April, 2021: Pike also went to Colorado to live with his new Mom! Evanescent is so happy to see the Mustangs getting adopted. Congratulations to his lucky adopter!
April, 2021: Coffee went to Colorado to be gentled and our young trainer found him to be so wonderful, they decided to adopt him. Congratulations on your new home!
March., 2021: So awesome to see Grace & her BFF, Loretta, in their new home in Colorado! Grace has a not so secret admirer in the paint guy standing behind her and Loretta is taking her shot at "lead mare" of her new family. Best wishes to Grace & Loretta and their new owner!
Feb., 2021: Congratulations to Chandler and Maryssa Rhianna! Maryssa just adopted this lovely boy from us and has already made such a GREAT connection! This is what makes it all worth it!
Dec., 2020: Taken in as "Big", this lucky Sales Authority Little Owyhee gelding was adopted by his foster mom. Now known as Niklaus (call name Klaus) he was mostly unhandled when he was taken in to foster and is already letting his mom brush him and braid his mane and tail.
PB took very little time to decompress and let her personality shine through allowing Evanescent to complete this adoption just in time for Christmas, 2020.
If you had seen Lady when she was skin and bones, you would NOT believe this is the same Mustang! Looking SO much better and was said to be a riding horse at one time. Lady is a 14 year old mustang mare from Fox Hog HMA in California, was gathered 08/2005, adopted 07/2008 titled 12/2009, rescued 06/19.
Two years later after being rescued from a kill pen, in March, 2020, Luna has her very own girl and a gorgeous pasture!
Sif was rescued from an OK KP in July, 2019 with Loki and Snorty. Sif was adopted in April, 2020 and is loved and adored by her new family!!!
Three mustangs with very different stories have found their forever family together. Epona (saved from Kaufman KP in TX in Sept., 2019) is a strong confident mare.
Ariana (saved from an OK KP in Sept., 2019) was a terrified mare initially unhandled but is coming around nicely as she continues to build trust with her family.
Comanche (saved from Kaufman KP in Sept., 2019) was an sweet gelding who has definitely been handled a lot however he came to us very thin and needed to rebuild his confidence.
I feel even more blessed that these 3 are close enough for me to stop by to visit on occasion and I know how much they are loved by their forever family!
We are so thankful that their forever family was able to adopt them together!!! Fairy Tail Ending!!!
Born July 7, 2018 to Barbie Doll who was a 3 strikes Mustang rescued pregnant from an OK KP. Casper grew up w/Concho at our satellite sanctuary.
Born April 24, 2018 to 3 strikes Mustang, Jess, who was rescued pregnant from an OK KP. These boys became very bonded at our OK sanctuary.
12/23/19: RITA HAS FOUND HER PERSON!! Congratulations to this beautiful girl on her retirement home.
March 30, 2019: Rita is good with other horses & obviously doesn't mind hanging out with goats. She loves attention - even from kids (the 2 legged kind) - and would love to have a field of her own somewhere. Born in 1991, this Mustang mare is in great shape for an older girl
